Personalized Tourism in the Comuna do Ibitipoca

Prime tourism in the Comuna do Ibitipoca is here.

The Comuna is a space dedicated to fostering a harmonious relationship between human beings and nature, based on the belief that this connection—combined with respect for diversity—is the key to a brighter future.

Spanning over five thousand hectares across the municipalities of Lima Duarte, Bias Fortes, and Santa Rita do Ibitipoca, the area surrounds and serves as a protective buffer zone for the Ibitipoca State Park.

The Comuna began in 1984 with the purchase of Fazenda do Engenho and today encompasses more than 5,000 hectares of previously degraded land, of which 99% are under a ReWilding process focused on restoring the native flora and fauna of the Atlantic Forest. It is an experimental socio-environmental project centered on the relationship between humans and their home—planet Earth.

Ibitipoca prime tourism is here.
